Here come the independents

HERMANUS – Several local independent candidates will be contesting the coming elections under the banner of the OHM-party. The party has announced that they will be contesting 1395 wards with a total of 103 candidates, Among the municipalities they will be contesting is the Overstrand and, specifically, wards in Hermanus we understand. They have not announced their candidates yet

Political theater await voters in the lead up to 4 November 2026. The OHM-party should field Overstrand born and bred independent candidates which will be "bettererest" for the region rather than the usual higher esteemed self-seeking "inkommers".
